Getting to know the island of Tenerife

The tourist resorts are great if you are looking to buy a property in an area where restaurants, shops and beaches are close at hand, but there are plenty of interesting areas on the island that are slightly off the beaten track that offer a more relaxing and private way to spend your time on Tenerife.

The best way to find out which area is right for you is to buy a detailed road map and drive around the island to take in its outstanding natural beauty. You can pick up a basic road map at the airport, but we would recommend you try to get hold of a more detailed map of Tenerife so that you can really appreciate what the island has to offer.
